This interactive textile prototype employs a layered “sandwich” structure of ordinary fabric, EMI conductive tape, and Velostat, with signal processing controlled by a Teensy 3 microcontroller. Developed in reference to Hanna Plusea’s documentation on How To Get What You Want, the work transforms the textile into a multi-touch interface. The touch signals are transmitted via a serial connection to Max/MSP, where they activate a custom sound patch, turning tactile gestures on fabric into audible expression.
