2304+1 是一場舞者與機器之間的即興對話。一架裝設了電磁閥馬達、攝影機與 Arduino 的機械鋼琴，將舞者的動作轉換為 MIDI 訊號，並即時觸發琴鍵，讓身體的姿態與演算法的聲響相互交織。
一座機械鋼琴由 48 個放置在傳統鋼琴白鍵上的電磁閥馬達、webcam以及一個arduino uno組成。機器與舞者互動的產生是透過將攝影機補捉舞者的動作，再將畫幀差異轉換為midi信號，並在 Ableton Live中以經典music box的方式發送由舞者動態產生的midi和預編輯好的midi到電磁閥馬達上。
2304+1 is an improvisational dialogue between dancer and machine. A mechanical piano—outfitted with solenoid motors, webcam, and Arduino—translates the dancer’s movements into MIDI signals that trigger the piano’s keys in real time, merging human gesture with algorithmic sound.
The mechanical piano consists of 48 solenoid motors placed on the white keys of a traditional piano, a webcam, and an Arduino Uno. Interaction between the dancer and the machine emerges as the webcam captures the dancer’s movements, translates frame differences into MIDI signals, and sends them into Ableton Live. In the form of a classic music box, both the dancer’s motion-generated MIDI and pre-edited MIDI sequences are transmitted to the solenoids, producing sound through the piano.
